Welcome to the Sunshine State
Over the years of development in this very tropical part of the USA a mixture of cultures can be found in the shape of the wide variety of cuisines available. The Spanish and Southern dishes have remained in the area but you will also find European and African flavoured influences in many dishes. Many Jewish restaurants sprung up in the early 1900’s and have stood the test of time. Over long periods of history people moved from the northern states and created different techniques to use fresh seafood, guavas, wild ginger, with the local foods. Many ethnic groups from a whole host of Caribbean countries have made their home in Florida where there culture can be found in the food you will be sampling when on cheap Florida holidays.
With a great beach scene you will be able to enjoy the exotic weather in the region perfectly, but if you want to be a little more active you can head the popular Sealife centre, Disneyland or Universal Studies, all those places ideal for the kids. For the adults you can experience an electric nightlife on the strip, you might even catch a Hollywood celeb or two roaming around on your cheap Florida holidays.
To get cheap Florida holidays you may want to avoid the peak season which is when the school holidays come into effect, mainly July and August, but if you are taking the kids with you those will probably be the only months. Other months you will want to avoid are December, March, April and October as you are less likely to get a good deal. To enjoy all Florida has to offer including the great weather then you need to be looking around September, early March and late April.
